Maximizing Rewards

You can maximize rewards with the U.S. Bank Altitude Go Visa Signature Card by making dining, takeout and food delivery purchases, which earn four points per dollar. You’ll earn two points per dollar for gas station, grocery store and delivery, and streaming service purchases, and one point per dollar for all other eligible card purchases.

If you want to boost your earnings with the 25,000-point introductory bonus, you will need to make at least $1,000 on the card within 90 days of opening an account.

Comparisons With Other Cards

Annual fee: Both cards do not charge an annual fee.

Rewards: The U.S. Bank Altitude Go Visa Signature Card offers four points per dollar on dining, takeout and food delivery purchases; two points per dollar on gas station, grocery store and delivery, and streaming service purchases; and one point per dollar on all other eligible card purchases.

Chase Freedom Flex earns 5% cash back on up to $12,000 in grocery store purchases – excluding Target and Walmart purchases– for the first year and 5% back on up to $1,500 in combined purchases quarterly in bonus categories you activate. The card also receives 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase, 3% back on dining and drugstore shopping, and 1% back on all other purchases.

Sign-up bonus: You can earn the U.S. Bank Altitude Go Visa Signature Card’s 25,000-point introductory bonus by making $1,000 on the card within 90 days of opening an account. Chase Freedom Flex cardholders will receive a $200 cash bonus after spending $500 on purchases in your first three months from account opening.

Benefits: U.S. Bank Altitude Go Visa Signature Card benefits include a $15 credit for annual streaming service purchases made with the card, emergency cash or card replacement, roadside dispatch, and travel and emergency assistance. Chase Freedom Flex offers access to cellphone and purchase protection, extended warranty coverage, and trip cancellation or interruption insurance.

Annual fee: These cards have no annual fee.
