In an interview to Mail Online, Reality TV actor Ferne McCann has said that she will remain celibate until she meets ‘The One’. She said, “The longer I don’t have it, the longer I don’t need it. If I’m going to be with someone now, I don’t want it to just be a fling.”

Ferne is a mom to a daughter. She added, “I feel my whole outlook on sex has definitely changed as I’ve got older and having lockdown and that time on my own really started to bring up different questions in my head.”

She added, “I want it to be important and be meaningful. Could I do it? Yes. But it’s like a diet; once you tell yourself don’t eat chocolate, all you can think about is chocolate!”

In another interview, she said, “Lockdown would have been a great time to spark up some conversation. But being single – I’ve had this conversation with lots of my single friends – conversations with new love interests in lockdown last from two days to a week… and then it falls flat.”

She split from former beau Albie Gibbs in May this year.

Talking to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine earlier, she spoke of her romantic endeavours. She said, “I’ve been on a few dates, but I’m not putting pressure on it or looking to settle down. I have just surrendered with my love life and what will be will be.”

She added, “I don’t have time to wonder why he’s left me on a blue tick – if you’re not going to reply to me then, sorry, you literally won’t be able to handle me in a relationship because then I’ll want to be chatting to you all the time.”

She went on to say, “Some men can handle that, some can’t. I’m an all or nothing kind of girl. Sometimes that’s endearing, sometimes it can be scary. I have toned it down a lot now, though.”
