Randy Orton is in red-hot form in the ring and on social media.

The Viper won his 14th world title by defeating Drew McIntyre at Hell in a Cell on Sunday night.

Orton is one of WWE’s greatest ever wrestlers

Orton’s victory also meant it is now 50 world title reigns for every member of Evolution.

Orton and Triple H are tied on 14, while Ric Flair and Batista have won the gold 16 and six times, respectively.

Replying to a image showing those stats on Instagram, Orton wrote: “#legends …. and an actor.”

This was, of course, an obvious reference to Batista, who has forged a very successful career in Hollywood.

The Animal left WWE as a full-time wrestler in 2010 and has since starred in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films as ‘Drax’.

Batista officially announced his retirement from wrestling after losing to Triple H at WrestleMania 35 last year.

And Orton could not resist having a dig at his former Evolution member.

Orton has enjoyed an excellent 2020 so far. He had an entertaining feud with the returning Edge, which is far from finished, before bringing back his Legend Killer gimmick.

He has taken Edge, Big Show, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Christian and even RKO’d the Rated R superstar’s wife, Beth Phoenix.

Now, it is hoped Orton’s title reign leads to a third and final match against Edge, who is recovering from a torn tricep, at WrestleMania 37.
