US Presidential hopeful Joe Biden appeared to forget who the current United States President was during an interview. Mr Biden spoke to his supporters via a virtual event to encourage enthusiasm in his push for the White House. He was joined with his wife Jill Biden who appeared to correct him after his blunder.
Mr Biden said: “We need to look at what kind of country that we are going to be.
“Four more years of George, er, George, er, he – we’re going to find ourselves in a position where, if Trump gets elected, we’re going to be in a different world.”
Mrs Biden appeared to remind her husband it was Trump who was President.
The President himself was also swift to respond, tweeting: “Joe Biden called me George yesterday. Couldn’t remember my name. Got some help from the anchor to get him through the interview. The Fake News Cartel is working overtime to cover it up!”
Many are speculating online which George Mr Biden may have been referring to.

Some have argued it was George W.Bush, the President from 2001-2009 or George H.W who was in office from 1989-93.
This again raised questions about the Presidential candidate’s mental health.
Many then took to Twitter to voice their concerns for Mr Biden and mock the potential future President.
One Twitter user wrote: “You wouldn’t hand over the TV remote to this guy but he may end up being President of the USA, frightening.”
Some people defended Mr Biden and argued that he has shown promise in some areas over the past few months.
A Twitter user said: “It’s interesting because in the debates Biden has performed fairly well.
“Yet there is still this large collection of gaffes we’ve seen from him over the past few months.”
Another added: “You are choosing between someones kindly old grandpa who misspeaks occasionally but who will have a strong independent group of administrators and your crazy uncle.”
