Dana White walked in on Chuck Liddell having an orgy in Las Vegas hotel room after knocking out bitter rival Tito Ortiz

Before Conor McGregor or Israel Adesanya, the UFC’s first ever superstar was the hard-hitting and tough-talking Chuck Liddell.

‘The Iceman’ became a cult hero amongst MMA supporters as the sport grew in popularity under the guidance of Dana White and the Fertitta brothers to become a money-making behemoth.

Perhaps unwittingly, Liddell became the poster boy of the organisation with his cropped Mohawk and skull tattoos belying the college-educated, family man which truly befitted Liddell’s character.

But it was his rivalry with former training partner Tito Ortiz which really captured the imagination of fans around the world as the two light-heavyweights continually teased a bout together.

When they finally met at UFC 47 in 2004, it ended with a conclusive and concussive knockout for ‘The Iceman’ in Las Vegas and he decided to duly celebrate.

Despite promising to give former manager White his shorts and trunks to frame, Liddell became somewhat occupied as the celebrations ran well into Sunday morning.

“When I fought Tito, I wasn’t dating anyone seriously,” he wrote in his 2008 autobiography Iceman. “So after a night of celebrating at the clubs, I brought some company back up to my room. A lot of company.

“I can’t remember how many women, but I know it was more than two. I had promised Dana the trunks and gloves for the fight, and he had forgotten to get them in the celebration after.

“He came by the room in the morning, knocked on the door, and someone let him in. He saw two girls asleep in the living room, two more girls in the bathroom, and a girl in bed with me. None of us had any clothes on.

“And Dana remembers seeing condoms hanging from the lamps, on the floor, pretty much everywhere.

“He looked at me, asked me for the gloves and trunks, then said, ‘Get the hell out of here.’

“I ended the morning by having sex while doing an interview on the phone with a radio station. Again, I’m not trying to brag. This is just the way it was.

“What else can I say? It’s good to be the winner.”

He certainly was that as the win against Ortiz kickstarted a run of seven straight wins, which saw him beat Randy Couture twice and Ortiz again in 2006.
